Naugawan Sadat
Naugawan Sadat, the Proud Heart of India's Oldest Syed Community
Naugawan Khurd was founded in 948 A.H. (1541 A.D.) by Maulana Syed Fakhruddin, the son of Maulana Mohammad Imam, who is buried in Delhi and was the Sajjad Nashin of Hazrat Nizamuddin Aulia. According to Qari Sahab, the area originally known as Naugawan Kalan dates back to 820 A.H. (1417 A.D.). To the north lies Vazirabad, now known as Amroha. Maulana Fakhruddin and his brother Maulana Jalaluddin came to this region as Islamic preachers and were quite successful in their mission. Their descendants have since settled here, and the population has grown into the thousands, with many members migrating to different parts of the world.
There are many places to visit, including Husaini Chowk, Panjaitani Gate, Karbala, Mazar Maulana Fakhruddin in Kakrali, Mazar Maulana Jalaluddin in Belowale, Mazar Syed Moosa at Hafta Bazar, Mazar and Imambada Daulat Shaheed, Mazar Peer Shahabuddin (Bhure Peer), Mazar Kaudiyawale in Naher Nai Basti, Madarsa Babul Ilm in Shahfreed, Budh Bazar (a famous weekly market), Mangal Bazar (an animal market), and Islam Nagar.
Naugawan Sadat offers easy access for visitors and residents, with bus and auto services linking the town to Amroha Railway Station (15 km), Chandpur Railway Station (20 km), and New Delhi Railway Station (146 km).
